We Live It

To really understand something, you have to experience it. When we adjusted our thermostat to conserve energy, we were surprised to discover how few of us missed the cold blast of air conditioning in the summer. We were happy not wearing sweaters in July. An experiment in tracking our trash for a month was revelatory in a different way. Living with our garbage made us very aware of our consumption, but we found it a little too easy to slip back into our old habits once the month was over. When we push our comfort zones as individuals, the company gains insight that we pass on to clients. We better grasp the barriers to behavioral shift, and can offer first-hand evaluation of green solutions. What we’ve found isn’t always pretty, but can help affect real change in the real world.
